I have nothing to compare these shorts to - i purchased these when i first started riding 4 years ago, loved them so much that i purchased 3 more pair throughout the years! Very comfortable! I use them on on all my 62 mile rides and the padding keeps my nether regions pretty "happy" the entire ride. The elastic waistband keeps them up while on the bike and the elastic leg bands keep them in place. I am 6'2" 180 lbs and the size L fit me very nicely. I recommend purchasing these on line as the first pair i purchased was in a retail store and i paid about 20% more.
